Analysis of molten metal solidification
The inner quality of metal depends not only on chemical composition of metal matrix but on the manufacturing process as well. The method of metal melting, a proportion of metal charge, alloying additives, the velocity of melting, time for which the metal temperature is kept etc. are the factors affecting the final metallurgical quality of iron. In order to control this, the melting shop is equipped with an instrument ATAS, a device measuring and evaluating the solidification curves of smelt on purpose to stabilize and improve the inner quality of castings.
